Client Issue
Our client needed to rapidly recruit a senior person for a highly specialised sales and marketing role. This division of the organisation had moved from selling products to delivering solutions. This strategic and cultural change meant that candidates had to combine a broad understanding of the telecoms world with a client facing mentality focussed on issue resolution, combined with the willingness to bring in outside partners where necessary.
This was a strategically important and specialised sector that our client needed to be in to achieve their short and long term goals in Europe. Competitors were already moving into the sector, and the senior sales position needed filling quickly.

Together with our client, we determined that this role required a broad range of skills - an understanding of telecom strategy, selling, negotiating, business development, management of multiple stakeholders, knowledge of new IP based networks. Multiple European language skills would be important.
Using our knowledge of the industry and sector at this senior level, we helped our client write a job description that was externally attractive, and internally compatible. We advised on a suitable compensation and benefits structure.
