GLOBAL MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY - SALES/MARKETING ISSUES
CONSULTANTS FOR THE LONDON OFFICE

The company
Our client is a global management consulting firm providing world-class expertise in sales force management and marketing issues. Through a powerful combination of analytic methods, issue focus and industry expertise, they have established themselves as the leader in marketing and sales consulting. Founded in 1983 by two professors from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, the firm now employs 400 consultants in 11 offices world wide - six in North America and one each in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Japan.

Whilst they serve a variety of businesses, a majority of their work is in the pharmaceutical and health care sectors. Common projects include: Sales force size and structure, marketing strategy, organisation design, mergers and acquisitions, product forecasting, incentive and compensation systems, data warehousing and micro-marketing. Their work has influenced the productivity of many of the world's leading corporations and has impacted markets in more than sixty countries. There are 35 professionals in the London office and their culture is open, fun and lacking in arrogance, whilst encouraging early responsibility.

The position
In order to manage existing assignments and achieve their growth objectives they are seeking to recruit a number of high quality consultants for the London office. Consultants participate in teams that solve critical issues for clients' senior management, ranging from broad strategic studies to the development of micro-marketing plans. They will make the recommendations come to life by putting together the plans, people, processes and tools to implement sustainable change in a client's organisation.

They will work with large multinational clients and will need to demonstrate an ability to deal with clients at a senior level. Their work will focus initially on pharmaceutical and health care providers.

The ideal candidate
Candidates are likely to have graduated in a quantitative subject and might also hold an MBA from a leading business school or a similar qualification. They must be focused on fact-based consulting, applying analytical techniques to enable clients to gain a competitive advantage. We are interested in candidates with several years’ consulting experience. A second language would be an advantage.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving and to deliver innovative solutions to clients. They must have good communication and teamwork skills and enjoy working in a pro-active and informal office environment. The growing team of professionals in Europe means plenty of responsibility and the opportunity to take a lead in all aspects of work.

Rewards
In return, the firm offers a competitive compensation package, the opportunity to simultaneously manage several short strategic projects in small teams, with plenty of responsibility and client contact. Though consultants do travel extensively, a greater proportion of client work is carried out in the office, rather than on client site, thus quality of life is superior to that experienced by many consultants.

Current consultants take great satisfaction in developing new business, helping clients to grow and shape their businesses, and from the nurturing and development of long term relationships with clients.
